Your Choice
  • One of the benefits of purchasing a factory manufactured modular home is that the buyer has the opportunity to choose and specify a range of finishes for a new home. Bauhu Homes can be personalised in this manner allowing you to choose finishes to your own personel taste. Our interior designers can help with this.
Designer German Kitchen
  • Nobilia is a German kitchen manufacturer that offers a wide range of kitchen products, including cabinets, countertops, and appliances. The company has a reputation for producing high-quality, modern kitchen designs that are both functional and visually appealing.
Water Saving Faucets
  • Saving water is more than just a concern, it is an obligation. All of the faucets supplied in Bauhu Homes are equipped with systems that save water by reducing the water flow by adding air to the water stream. While producing a soft touch and non-splashing sensation it offers the same feeling of comfort as a large flow but using much less water.
Impact Resistant Windows
  • Specially designed for use in high velocity wind regions Bauhu aluminium windows and sliding doors maximise light transmission whilst controlling solar gain. Robust frame profiles are airtight and lockable sliding systems seal all openings. Our thin frame aluminium sliding glass doors are specially made with stainless steel reinforcing bars built into the frame profiles providing additional strength and security.
Structural Engineering
  • Bauhu homes are made in a factory and delivered in sections, so the structure can be erected very quickly. Buildings are structurally engineered to ASCE 7-22 (The American Society of Civil Engineers Code) and designed for high wind and seismic locations.
Hurricane Safe
  • A modular steel frame hurricane resistant house is a type of prefabricated home that is designed to withstand strong winds and other weather events associated with hurricanes. Bauhu homes are built using a modular design, which means that they are constructed off-site in a factory and then assembled on the building site.
Blue and Green Roofs
  • Bauhu homes can be equipped with a green roof, also known as a living roof or a vegetated roof, a type of roofing system that is partially or fully covered with vegetation. A green roof can be installed on the flat roof (option) and can be used in conjunction with a water retention system and solar panels.
EPDM Flat Roofs
  • EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is a synthetic rubber roofing membrane that is commonly used in flat roofing systems. EPDM roofs are durable, flexible, and resistant to a wide range of weather conditions, making them a popular choice for commercial and residential buildings.
EIFS Wall Facade Systems
  • Bauhu Homes use EIFS wall systems, known for their high levels of insulation, which can help buildings reduce energy consumption and save on heating and cooling costs. They are also impact resistant, meaning that they can withstand impacts from objects such as hail or falling debris without sustaining damage.
Shipping
  • All of the component parts, materials and equipment provided in a kit home package are assembled together, packages for international maritime transportation, and loaded into 40’ HC shipping containers.
Permitting & Compliance
  • A local building permit is generally required to erect a permanent structure of any kind but permitting requirements vary from location to location. In most circumstances an application for a building permit may only be submitted by a locally registered architect of record.
Bermuda style Island roofs
  • A modern Bermuda style roof is a design that features a low-pitched, hipped roof with a central ridge. The roof's sides are extended to form a deep overhang that provides shade and protection from the sun and rain. This design is similar to the traditional Bermuda roof, but with a more modern twist.
Sun Study
  • Did you know that, using specialised software, Bauhu designers can simulate the suns movement over a building in a specific location? This provides vital information allowing us to optimise your modular home’s design and exact orientation to benefit from shading where it is needed most.
